Re: Easter!
I like August holidays! Then again, my bday is at the end of August and I won't be around for this years' August.

Re: Easter!
Another reason I don't do holidays, is because I'd end up with a different holiday just about every other day. Disting one day, then say... Wep Renpet. Too many deities and cultural things to do in order to keep up with. I doubt they'd mind though.quater wrote:I'd say we make it soon but my birthday is soon and I feel like putting your own holiday near your birthday is probably cocky...
Also, Ami, you wouldn't celebrate Q day? Lame! >_> Burn the Luna!
On the other hand, if I consider it an anniversary of some kind, I can certainly get away with it. xP

Christmas, Easter, Birthdays, and Anniversaries. Anything else is just an excuse to party.

Re: Easter!
I dun celebrate Christmas or Easter, and I consider birthdays as anniversaries anyway, since they're an annual thing.

Re: Easter!
And Imbolc, and Samhain, Mabon, Lughnashadh, Litha, Beltaine, Ostara, and Yule! In no particular order. O-o Well, at least as far as the wheel goes. xDSammyTheBootlegger wrote:Christmas, Birthdays, Halloween, some other ones no one but me will know about... And New Years~
When I have the time, the only thing I do that could be considered a holiday is every particular phase of the moon (Luna is my longest internet name for a reason xP) I'll bust out the incense, and spend some time in meditation... but a friend of mine spent one day burning all of the fluid out of my lighter, so no incense for me. xD
I also don't follow a calendar. In fact, only thing I pay attention too is the phase of the moon, for personal reasons, and those listed above. It's why whenever a holiday comes up, I'm usually all, "Wait, that time already?"

Oh yeah, I always forget when old Lughnashadh comes around, ya know? I'm usually just so busy that time of year..
That and its, you know, an Irish holiday that was picked up by neopaganism....not actually really a major holiday.
But then again, you don't celebrate Easter or Christmas so I guess...you could..

I have too many deities I pay tribute too. Fortunately, many of them are very equiniox and solstice, and midway in between. And neo-paganism is picking up lately. But they still won't beat out the big three (Hinduism, Islam, and Christianity respectively).

Q - Were we talking about what is a major holiday and what is not?? I thought we were just discussing those we celebrated/enjoyed?? I'm too lazy to go back and look.
Ami - I only really pay attention to Samhain (Which falls nicely close to Halloween), Beltane and Yule.
