This is a poem that I just wrote when watching the Return of the King tonight, at the battle of Minas Tirith I felt a grasp of the first two lines and the rest came from that. I don't know if it is good or anything, but feel free to read to your pleasure.
In the depth of night
comes a ray of hope, a shinning light
That will lead us to the break of dawn
and Home-ward bound where fear is gone
When all seems lost, and death awaits
God throws wide His pearly gates
And with a trumpet, will command
His grace to fight for us, man.
Hope! Hope! A lasting love
comes forth as a shinning dove
beats back the serpent and lion both
and doth, lead us to waters still
When all seems lost in darkest places
Hope arises and darkness fadeth.
Love avails, love wins, in rightful times
in rightful places
Here it comes, like a monstrous wave
The grace above now sets ablaze
A rekindled heart of greatest desire.
Be not afraid my little child
I will not fail, I will not hide
My love for you is hotter than the sun
I will not fail, I will not run
My love for you is deeper than the sea
My love avails, the promise is done
Just wait and see.
My love, it comes.
In the depth of night
comes a ray of hope, a shinning light
