The Book Thread
Since most of us seem to be of the reading type, discuss those archaic things with words written on the tree killing substance known as paper.

Re: The Book Thread
Do the books have to be wonderfully written to be discussed here?
Because I'm reading the Canterbury Tales for Adv. Comp. and it's pretty bad. But I'm more of a modern day reader.
Like Lee Child's Jack Reacher novels :D

Re: The Book Thread
Hmmm, well if only well written books were discussed here, then there would be very little to discuss, so the answer is any book can be discussed here. Even those horrid Twilight/Modern day young adult vampire goth novels.

Re: The Book Thread
I don't think anyone is going to want to discuss those.
They're so 2010 and we're heading into another year :D

Re: The Book Thread
I see, I guess I'm not as hip as I used to be! How shameful!
Anyways, I'll probably start reading the Fables trade paperbacks. For proper books, I'm still reading the Dark Tower Series by Stephen King.

Re: The Book Thread
I've never gotten around to reading Stephen King. I will one of these days when I'm not obsessed with creating websites. *cough*
I am starting in on the Icewind Dale Trilogy by R. A. Salvatore. His books make me write. o_o

Re: The Book Thread
I've heard good things about the fantasy series A Song of Fire and Ice by George R. R. Martin, I will read it one day. Probably when it's completed.

Re: The Book Thread
Same. I've accidentally started too many series that weren't complete. And most of them were incomplete because they authors stopped writing them for one reason or another.

Re: The Book Thread
A great book I suggest some of you get into is called "The Celestine Prophecy" from page 1 until the end I was captivated and could not put it down. I chose it over video games and even movies. I believe the book had 2 sequels both of which I must get my hands on.
It pretty much tells the story of a Peruvian manuscript that holds the key to understanding life and such better. How to control states of euphoria and much more. It was AMAZING

Re: The Book Thread
Sounds interesting, but I don't think I'd read it unfortunately. Never big on fiction books.

Re: The Book Thread
Truly now? If that's the case, it sounds like a more occult centered book. I'll give it a look at, but no guarantees.

Don't they, though?? I just recently finished those and every time I go to get the next ones, they're missing the one I need -_-
Do you read a lot of fantasy and what-not??
