Bowling~

So me and my five best friends have discovered something that's fun to do on a Saturday night.

10pm to 1am bowling at the local bowling alley.

True, the last few times we went one of my friends couldn't make it coz his mother doesn't let him out much. And another friend wasn't feeling up to it. And we had extra people that made our time difficult to enjoy.

There was once a time though that we went bowling because it was like our weekly kind of therapy/unwind session. We'd go and let go of our problems for a few hours, and when we went home, we would look at things differently, and from a different perspective.

Tomorrow we're going bowling again, just us five (should be six but the friend who can't get out much has a legitimate reason: he's really sick with the stomach flu. I love him to death but I don't want whatever he has, I've got enough issues with what I have DX), and we're going to see if we can't get back into how it used to be. We'll be loud and crazy all night, just having fun.

We've discovered that not only is it a great source of unwinding and banisher of boredom, but it's the kind of thing that makes us FEEL like we're bad ass coz we're staying out half the night, but we're not doing any of that crap that screws your brain over.

Truthfully I never knew how fun bowling was until we went that first time. We try to go every week, but schedules are busy, my boyfriend and my brother-figure are both seniors this year and it's coming down to the wire for them, but I'm glad we managed to get this one in. No extra people that cause trouble, no nervy drama, just us.

And I might even think about actually aiming for this pins this time.
