My mom also likes IE....
I think the only reason people like IE is because they haven't used other browsers or, if they have, are too lazy to go through the process of downloading and getting used to a new one.

It's not possible to delete it from my experience. I'll totally uninstall something, but one accidental click of "help" in half the software you own brings it right back up. >_>

It's a default windows feature.
Go to your control panel and select whatever for removing programs.
Add and Remove Programs for Windows XP, Vista and 7 go to Programs and Features.
On the left will be an option regarding Windows features and whatnot, then just untick IE.
I usually get rid of Outlook Express, IE (on non Windows XP computers), Windows Media Player, the games and a few other things. xP

HA! you should see mikelalo's desktop when i haven't used the lappytop for a while! it's FULL OF WORD FILES, EXCEL FILES AND STUFF AND EVERYTHING'S ON THE DESKTOP =))
but this is how it looks like when i'm using it (a DRAAAAAAAAAAAASTIC change! cause even the theme, i change! and he'll just change it back though!) this is pretty much a clean desktop already compared to his!
