Re: The Book Thread
Yes, it's pretty much fantasy.
I am also reading the 100 Bullets trade paper backs. I really didn't expect it to be as good as it is.

Re: The Book Thread
If it's related to TFK, it's doubtful.

^ Ah, I feel the same, but my book count is at three.
I'm gonna read tomorrow if I can convince my brother to let me do that instead of play soccer with him. xD;

Finished off The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho.
Wasn't bad. I'll likely read it again in the future. Not yet sure what to read next.

I was on this Marion Zimmer Bradley kick, but somehow it's turning into a zombie kick. I devour these books like the living dead devour flesh, and there is no end in sight. Not until May.

Re: The Book Thread
I absolutly loved the book series 'Kingdoms of Thorn and Bone' by Greg Keyes.
it's a fantasy series, middle ages theme. It's set in its own world; each book has a map of the lands before the title page. yet, its not too far fetched because one can draw (slightly stereotypical) comparisions to our human culture, so it can make sense.
Examples;
1)The made-up religon doesn't have a name, but there are monks, monestaries, and everyone has favored 'Saints' they worship [Catholic religion].
2)The southwest of the world map is occupied by people with a darker complexion, hotter/drier climate, swordfight with rapiers, and love wine [Spain?].
3)There are common mythical creatures used, such as the Basilisk and the Griffin.
What's really cool is that the chapters switch between the stories of the individual characters, and how each one of them contributes to the whole story.
well, that's all i can say without completly confusing you guys.
Just go check out the books!! I loved them so much. I'm thinking about getting a couple more books from this author.
By the way, i must warn you, some parts in the series are, what's that fan-fic term,...Lime! Not a lemon, but just a little lime.
I'm sure that's nothing to some of you, but i'm warning anyway.
