1. Bastard
This was the first anime I ever watched. My old roommate "Brian" turned me onto this and onto anime forever. I was about 13 years old. Yes the partial nudity and swears captured my heart. Only being about 6 episodes long, it was captivating from start to finish. Each episode is about an hour or so long. It revolves around the greatest sorcerer of all time, Dark Schneider. He becomes trapped inside a young boys body but it released when chaos covers the world in darkness. I think everyone should give this anime a look over.
2. Hellsing
When I started really getting into anime sometime after "Bastard" I decided to take a walk into borders books. This was the first manga I picked up. On a whim I bought it at age 15 and fell in love with it. Took a year or two to compile all the manga and finally watch the series. This is nothing like twilight vampires or vampire diaries. This show is top of the line crazy. Alucard, the main protagonist is a Class S vampire. He can't be killed and works for the Hellsing company. They go around ridding the world of fake vampires and familiars. The main anime series is only 13 episodes long and loosely follows the manga. The OVA was released and follows the manga more direct with a lot more blood and gore. So if that's your thing, go for it.
3. DragonBall Z
You can't compete with this. This anime is timeless and always will be. Everything about this anime screams amazingness and that's the cold truth. I've been watching this anime since it first appeared on Toonami way back in the day. From Goku's first transformation into Super Saiyan until his transformation into Super Saiyan 3, this has always been full of action and such. I used to fantasize about turning super saiyan I once even stood in my bathroom for an hour flexing and screaming trying to go kaio-ken. The only thing that happened was me getting sweaty and tired. But it was worth the try. I'm rewatching this now as Dragon Ball Z KAI. And i'm still in love with it just like when I first started watching. Even though this is number 3, I can easily say it's my all-time favorite anime before Hellsing and Bastard. Anyone whose anyone has tried to do the Kamehameha secretly (I know I have countless times).
4. Naruto
You can't handle Lee. Or maybe you can? I got into Naruto after my friend came back from anime boston wearing the headband. Watched it ever since until about 2 years ago. To me, the series got stale with all the useless flashbacks but it successfully left an everlasting impression about ninja's in my heart. All I can really say.
5. Ruroni Kenshin
Who doesn't like this show? Battousai the Samurai. Fell in love with this show as it began to show on toonami way back then. I literally used to go into my house at 6:30pm and watch it then go back outside to hang with my friends. It's what got me into sword techniques and uses. Such as battojutsu and such. I've always liked action anime so this was no exception. Being rather short it disappointed me but it was still great none the less.
6. Bleach
As if you didn't see this coming. I think everyone here has watched Bleach once or twice and if lucky fell in love with it. Everything about this anime screams awesome. I can't really divulge into certain details but every Shikai and Bankai called to me. Betrayal and action action action! Make what you want of this, I love it.
7. One Piece
Honestly, I fell off the bandwagon with this anime. IT got really stale for me. And Q tells me it was just the Arc but i've yet to pick it back up. Hopefully sometime soon I will. That's about it.
8. Kenichi!
APAPAPAPAPAPAPAPA! This anime is new to me, recommended by Q himself and I got to say. THANKS YOU! The episodes are a half hour long just about and it mixes action with comedy. As you might have read from Q's anime list, it focuses on a wimp who wants to learn martial arts to get strong and protect people. He meets this strange girl whom he befriends and learns of her dojo. From there on out, he trains with various masters and martial arts and fights delinquents all over the city. A never ending battle for him it seems. The series is rather cute at time. And for the guys, plenty of good scenes if ya know what I mean. Definitely check this anime out!
Well for now, this covers my animes, i'll update and post more later.
