I have to agree. It's not that they have no depth, it's just hard to ...feel a connection??

    Exactly!

I feel like they have no flaws or weaknesses, is why. They have no quirks, either. They're all straight laced and tough serious macho people.

And that's all there really is to them.

Mm, mostly. There doesn't seem to be a lot of inner turmoils and all those lovely things that make them memorable ^^

They could take some characterization tips from Oda.

Also, the Major doesn't appeal to me. She just seems like a know it all.

And usually spunky smart old men appeal to me, but he doesn't, either...

I agree. It's good to see a strong female lead character, but at times she seems so blah.

And for some reason I can't get over the name Batou...

Haha. Batou is probably my favorite, but the fact he has no pupils is bothersome.

I don't care the gender of the main character...But if they're not really personable, then there's little left to enjoy...

^^ His eyes remind me of tanning goggles.

It's not a big deal, but to see a female that's not wimpy, or a male that's not uber-macho is refreshing at times.

I can see what you mean! But still, he's somewhat cool?

I have no trouble with that, I suppose. I mean, Erza in Fairy Tail was one of my favorite characters in Fairy Tail and she's pretty tough. Kenichi, on the other hand, was pretty wimpy, and Nico Robin also is pretty tough stuff. I don't mind if girls are kick butt or guys are wimps (as long as they are humorously wimps, and not just weak).

But there are good ways to do it, and bad ways. And Ghost In The Shell doesn't seem to be doing it right for me. However, the show itself, for the most part, is still somewhat interesting. I don't know that it's worth the hype, or that I'd recommend it to others when there are plenty of great Animes to be watched or read, but it's not something I don't enjoy. But I find myself watching it only to say I've watched it, with hopes that the series gets more interesting over time, more than anything.

I do really enjoy the Laughing Man stuff, though. Any episode that has the Laughing Man as a big part of the plot I find to be pretty good.

Hmmmmm, from what I've read, it seems like Ghost in the Shell is more of a plot centered anime rather than a character centered anime.

Well, I finished Ghost In The Shell first season today.

I can honestly say I am not all that impressed. Especially with the amount of love this series has gotten, I expected, more...

Not really sure what to do from here.

The only reason I'd continue watching Ghost In The Shell at this point is just to say I've seen it. I am not really watching it cause I enjoyed it..I mean, it was alright. But yeah. I feel like I've seen enough.

    Updated 01/23/11

Put up my review of Ghost In The Shell.

From here it's either D.Grayman, Cowboy Bebop, or .Hack//

.Hack// I started, and it's interesting, but I really don't like the main character...He seems a bit like a brat...So that might end that one for me. Other then that, we'll just have to see. ^^

Which .hack//? From the sound of it, looks like you started .hack//sign, and you're talking about Tsukasa?

At some point Yoyo will add an image to my list to make it even more of epic-sauce, guys! Can't wait.

Anywho, so I just wanted to throw up an update. Even though I'm the only one who really reads/replies here. That's okay! It's my list anyway. I can bump it or whatever I want with it. ^_^

I'm currently on episode 26 of D.Gray-man. I really like it. It's gotten rather interesting. I see high potential in this series and it doesn't seem to be squandering it. It takes some time to get into but it's very interesting and very different. I like that about it.

Still, there's 103 episodes total, so I got a long ways to go before I'm finished. But considering I started it Saturday night around 3 AM? I think I've gotten a pretty good ways into it in such a short time.

When I'm not watching D.Gray-man I'm actually catching up on Naruto Shippuden. I plan to watch the Pain battle between Naruto, because I've heard it's really cool and really flashy. I'll make an avatar of it if that's the case. And since the latest batch of Naruto Ship-filler is over with I'm going to try and keep up with it.

The Manga of Naruto has been pretty good lately. I'm starting to enjoy the series all over again. So here's hoping that it stays that way.

And that's how I've been doing! After D.Gray-man I plan to watch Cowboy Bebop and finally cross that Anime off my list. Then I'm going to give .Hack one more chance to see if it's worth it or not. It was somewhat interesting but the main character was so emo I found it hard to enjoy.

Then from there I'll probably tackle some random Anime on my suggested list or perhaps just try something random and new. I've got a tendency to do that. But I'll give a better report when I finish D.Gray-man and my Naruto battle.

The character's emo-ness really turned me off. I saw no reason for him to be emo. He just seemed very bratty.

Mhm~ But from what I hear .Hack// has several different .Hack// storylines? So I'm hoping just to get through the first one and his emo-ness and then maybe the others won't be so bad.
